Since moving to New Mexico Olivia has found a new favorite TV show. She could watch it for hours and be totally happy. I don't let her watch it for hours, but she still could if I let her. Her new favorite show is on the Disney's Junior channel called:
"Jake and the Never land Pirates"
She walks around singing the song:
"Jake and the Never Land Pirates
Climb aboard, Me Hearties, and be a pirate true.
Let's go! With Jake and the Neverland Pirates
We'll set the course together--Come on and join the crew"
After watching it one day she came up to me and said, "Mom, I want to be a pirate, but I don't have the right clothes! Mom will you make me a pirate costume?" I thought about it and said, "Sure, I think I can do that."
So I looked through my fabric and found some things that would work and came out with this:
The knife really finishes it off I think :)!
The shirt was made out of an old sheet that my mother-in-law was going to give away.
The skirt was made from some left over Christmas fabric (I don't remember what Christmas project I used it for).
The corset style belt I made from some left over fabric... I cannot even begin to tell you where it came from. 
I made everything a little big so it would last longer but she loves it which is all that matters. In that last picture she was telling grandma Julie to "Hoist the sail, Matees! Lets go on an adventure!"

"Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Grandma," she is saying, "we need to go capture captain hook! He is getting away!"
And Isaac just wanted his picture taken!We have been pirates here for a good couple of weeks now! It has been fun! I wonder what she will want to be next?
