Rain Drop Keep Fallin' On My Head

It has been the driest it has been here in years. There have been fires all over New Mexico burning hundreds of thousands of Acres. A lot of the state parks have been shut down in fear of people NOT listening and still having campfires. It is usually brown here, but it is REALLY brown here right now. I know Lubbock is just as bad. . . except they have 110 degree heat on top of it all. Sometimes I miss Lubbock. But then I remember it is 20 degrees cooler here and I don't miss it so much anymore. We have been asked by our Stake President to pray and fast for rain. I know many other stakes are fasting for the same thing. This last fast Sunday we did just that. We fasted for rain and as soon as we got out of church, that's exactly what it did.
IT RAINED!!!!!!!
It has rained on and off all week. Not very much or for very long, but it rained!
There was a lot of running,
A lot of jumping,
and even a little drinking.
Both Isaac and Olivia loved running and playing in the rain. There was one point where they had to come in because the rain was coming down a little hard. But they got plenty soaked. They were out playing for about an hour so Glenn grabbed the camera and got some pretty amazing pictures.

In other news we had a uneventful fourth of July. We weren't aloud to have fireworks, so we had a BBQ, and I made Olivia a dress to celebrate!
When it is not raining (which is a lot) it is really hot out. The kids have a little swimming pool that they love to play in. Isaac's favorite thing to do is stick his head in the water. I really don't blame him. I would love to do that too. The best part is how he looks after he has stuck his head in.
Every time he does it he reminds me of that poem "There was a little girl, who had a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead." Except Isaac isn't a girl. He is so cute though and I love watching him dunk his head.
