The Grand Canyon

We were so lucky to be able to go to the Grand Canyon this year with my family. It was the first time in a while that we were all together. We even had my Grandparents come up as well. I regret, however, that I did not get a good picture with them but I was so happy to see them. I hadn't seen them in over 2 years and they had never met Isaac. We had family members coming from 4 different states so that we could all be together. The only sad thing is that Mark could not be there to join us. Mark is (well was really) Cherie's fiancee and was in Georgia while we were there. Cherie and Mark were married the week after this camping trip (wedding post to follow). Mark was there in spirit though, or at least there by phone. . .
A Lot! I can't blame her though, if I was over 2000 miles away from my fiancee a week before my wedding I would talk to him a lot too. . . oh wait, I was and I did :) ok not 2000 miles but 2 states and it was enough to miss him and talk to him a lot on the phone.

Anyway, back to the Grand Canyon. There was lots of playing in the dirt on the kids part.
I think this is Isaac's current favorite cousin Kobe. They are about the same age (5 months apart) and had lots of fun getting dirty togetherand coloring together, and sleeping together.
My dad did a lot of cooking while we were there so my mom got him a new apron and chef's hat. I think it was also a father's day present.
Glenn had never been to the Grand Canyon before so it was especially fun for him I think.

Our little family at the grand Canyon together. . .dog included.

Isaac just did a lot of riding around in the stroller.
He also pointed at a lot of things. . .I think he was pretty amazedThis is my beautiful sister Angela and my niece Christina,
my OTHER beautiful sister Kayla,
and the gorgeous bride to be, Cherie.
Basically, I have a lot of beautiful sisters.
I was particularly excited to see my sister Tiffany and her wonderful family.
I really don't get to see them very much since they live in California. Glenn gets along with David really well too which is always a plus. We really love them and wish we lived closer to them.

Glenn, Isaac and Cleo.

We were afraid, because of Bar prep, that Glenn wouldn't be able to come for a while. I was so grateful that he did come.
I love him so much. It was such a fun vacation with him
I just love my boys!

My brother and his family. I had never met Christina so it was really fun to see them and their growing family.

Grandpa and Dad cooking

Relaxing
Olivia was done with everything but the end of the trip.
I can't blame her. I was just tired of being dirty. If it wasn't so dirty I think everyone would have been a little happier.
But there are always ice cream sandwiches to make things better.

It was so nice to have everyone there together. It would be nice to have one BIG family camping trip once a year. . . but that is dreaming!
