Summer Wardrobe

A few months ago I went to a big sale at Joann's one day armed with a ridiculous amount a coupons determined to get a good deal on some fabric so that I could make Olivia some cute summer play cloths. Let me tell you, I made out like a bandit at Joann's. Seriously! I bought a ton of fabric to make cloths, reeving blanket (for the large amount of friends having babies) some shorts and capri's for me, and a few other things. The total amount saved on my receipt was $75! I was so excited! Olivia is such a girly girl and loves cute things to wear. but cute things at the store are always way to expensive. So this year I thought I could make her most of her summer wardrobe. So with out further ado, here are Olivia's new summer cloths!

This one is my favorite but she wasn't much in the mood to take pictures. I made both the shorts and the shirt and I LOVE THEM!

This one was the hardest to make for some reason. Glenn picked out the fabric and I did make matching green shorts for the shirt, but she looked like I weird girl scout or something, so I tossed the shorts (don't worry that fabric only cost me 75 cents).

This next one might look familiar to some people.
I have made this dress for Olivia for 3 summers now. I love it so much, and they still make the fabric. I just can't get over how cute it is every time I see it. Glenn however is getting sick of it and has officially told me that this is the last year I can make it. "Branch out! Make something new!" he says.

This next one was Olivia's favorite.

You can tell it was by how well she modeled it. She wore this dress for 3 days straight. She wouldn't take it off. I loved it to and it was so easy to make so I made another one. . . Which I unfortunately didn't like as much for some reason. But that was OK, since this fabric was free. I only had to by ribbon so I wasn't to put out since the dress cost me a total of $2. 97. But Olivia liked it which is all that mattered.

I have made a dress out of the top fabric before but I liked it so much I made this shirt and capris outfit. I had to adjust the pattern a bit because the pants were abnormally wide, but it turned out well in the end. This one I made a while ago but never posted a picture, so I thought I would now.

This next one is a skirt I made for me. It turned out so cute I had to post a picture.

It has an abnormal amount of pletes in it (which I hate doing because they take forever) but they look so cute. I added the ribbon just for something extra. I saw this ribbon detailing on a skirt someone was wearing at church once and thought that it couldn't be very hard to do. I was right! Supper easy, time consuming, but very VERY cute!
