When did we grow up?

Seven years ago Glenn came over to my apartment (a little too early for some of my roommates) and gave me a card. It was a simple card with two cats lying together on the front, and inside was written "I love doing nothing with you." Below that he wrote "I love you." I still have that card. It was the first time he had ever said it to me. I suppose that we both knew we loved each other (I knew it at least), but we had never said it out loud until that day. We had arranged earlier to drive down to Idaho Falls together so Glenn could find a job. He found one at Dillard's and when we were driving home he was abnormally quiet. I asked him what was on his mind. He turned to me (as much as you can turn when you are driving) and said, "I think it is logical that we should either break up or get married. What do you think?" I, of course, started crying and told him that I too thought it was "logical." After talking about it he asked me to marry him and I said "Yes." And then we continued driving. He is still as "magical" with words today as he was seven years ago.
So when did we grow up? How do we have 2 kids? When did time start going by so fast? When did we become old enough to be almost done with Law school? Sometimes I wonder how I fell asleep, woke up, and it was today, 7 years later. When we were engaged I prayed for time to go by faster so I could be married. Now I wish that time had gone by slower and I had enjoyed it more. I love every minute of life now, but I still don't feel old enough, or smart enough, for life. So here's to a day when life was simple. When there was just the 2 of us (well 4 of us really :) ) and we had nothing else to worry about.I couldn't ask for a better husband, and to be honest I couldn't ask for a better brother and sister that we have shared a lot of life with.

(I just realized I could have saved this until our actual anniversary, but this is just as important to me, and I remind Glenn of it every year.)
