Princess Olivia

Olivia is our little princess and always has been. She constantly reminds everyone that she is a princess and is always dressed like one. She is 3 1/2 now and I can't believe it. She has grown up so fast and sometimes I can't believe how grown up she is. She uses bigger words than I do on a daily basis including (but not limited to):
Hypothesis
Symbiosis
Condensation
Collection
She speaks better English than I do. She correctly uses her pronouns and verbs. She correctly constructs sentences and can now write her name all by herself (if my scanner was working I would post it but it's not). I am so proud of her and only occasionally take credit for all she is learning but I can't take credit for all of it.

One of Olivia's favorite things to do right now is to play games. We spend at least an hour every day playing the same games over, and over, and over. Games like Candy land, Chutes and Ladders, memory, puzzles, and her favorite . . .

I am sure this is not a surprise to anyone that her favorite game has the word princess in it. She could play this game forever. She can't just play with me either, no Glenn has to get involved in being a princess. However because he is involved he had to teach her the correct name for the colors. For those of you who are not familiar with the game pretty pretty princess there are 4 colors you can choose from. Pink, green, blue, and purple. So, because of Glenn, when we ask her what color she wants to be she says topaz, emerald, sapphire, and Amethyst. I suppose that's what you get being raised by a man who was raised by a geologist. Also when we play she can't just wear what she is wearing, oh no, she must be dressed like a princess to be a princess.and of course there isn't just pictures of Olivia as a princess there is one of me . . .and of course one of Glenn! And this is a picture of Glenn when I told him I was going to post them on our blog . . .
Olivia is the best sleeper ever. I have never seen a child sleep through what she sleeps through. I love that she can sleep so well, but sometimes she gets herself into some pretty funny positions.

Sometimes I look at her and just don't know how she got so big. I remember holding her when she was so tiny and now she knows how to correctly use the word hypothesis . . . I know I didn't know what that word was until I was in 6th grade. Okay maybe a little earlier that that but that is the earliest I can remember.
She is such a silly girl especially when it comes to posing in pictures. You can't see her "beautiful" pose very well in this picture but she loves to be in any pictures when she feels like she looks beautiful.

I am so lucky to have 2 wonderful kids.
These next to videos are of her being silly. The first one is of her singing. She is really into Disney songs lately and this is one of her favorites to sing.

The second one was Glenn's doing. You can blame him if you think it was mean, but she laughed and still asks him to do it again.
