Growing

I have forgotten how fast your little babies grow up. Sometimes I can hardly believe how big Olivia is and how much she knows. Although I think sometimes that she grew up too fast, I don't think that I missed very much. I have thoroughly enjoyed every staged of her life and am so proud of the little girl that she is. I wish I could take credit for everything she knows, but I can't. The other day we were talking about baptism at the dinner table. Glenn and I were both surprised with how much she knew already. When I asked her, "Where did you learn about baptism, Olivia?" she replied, "Jesus told me." I didn't argue.

Isaac, however, is a different story. I don't know where these last 6 months went. He did start a lot of things earlier than Olivia:

Rolling over:
Olivia-4 months (but then never again until 7)
Isaac-3 months
Sitting up:
Olivia- 5 months
Isaac- 5 months
Crawled:
Olivia- 7 months
Isaac- 6 months

I feel like I missed so much more with him than I did with Olivia. He is such a happy baby and loves his sister Olivia so much. There is no one in the world who can make him laugh harder than Olivia can. She is starting to enjoy his company more, too. He isn't just a baby anymore to her. He is a friend. She tells him what to do and plays pretend with him, and he gives her his full attention in return and laughs at everything she does.
Sometimes I feel a little left out of his attention. Besides Olivia the only other thing he spends a lot of time with is Cleo.Isaac and Cleo are buddies. Cleo is very protective of both him and Olivia and lets both of them do just about anything to her. She does have her moments of hiding, but most of the time she is no more than 5 feet away from both of them (which really isn't saying much since my apartment isn't very big).

They like to play a little game called steal the bone. This game consists of Cleo getting her bone and sitting far away (but within eyesight) from Isaac. Isaac then laughs and starts his journey to get the bone.
It usually takes him a while. He is not the fastest crawler yet. And I would really call it more of a combat crawl or a scoot.
But eventually he makes it and tries to steal the bone away (gross, I know). Cleo won't let him have it for long. She just gets up, moves away, and the next round begins.
If Cleo doesn't have her bone, the next best thing is her collar. He hasn't yet (and I am not sure I will ever let him ) gotten her dog tags in his mouth.
They are best friends, and this makes Glenn very happy.

One of the biggest things I have noticed lately is Olivia's imagination. I can't believe some of the things that she has come up with. She has amazing amounts of invisible friends. The ones that have lasted the longest are as follows:

Berry- small green dragon. She found Berry in the Wal*Mart parking lot about a month ago. She disappears every now and again to save a princess but she always comes back, and when she does she has a special pillow in Olivia's bed just for her.

Chickens- Olivia has 8 chickens that are all on a leash. They follow her around wherever she goes, except when they go to the farm on vacation. They don't have names, they are just the chickens. She found these at the Law school.

Jade- the black (but sometimes purple) cat. She is not around nearly as often as Berry or the chickens, but she does occasionally make an appearance (usually when I am sitting down for lunch or a movie and I always end up sitting on her)

There is of course the occasional baby (they never have names) and puppy (who is always named Cleo). These videos are of Olivia's wild imagination and different pets. They were taken all the same night when she was really on a role.

I wonder sometimes if times just goes faster and faster with each child... and I am afraid that it does. I guess that just means I need to get rid of things are are taking up time and are not important. And that I need to take more pictures.
