Easter!!!!

Our Easter started with Olivia's preschool Easter egg hunt. It was so cute to watch a bunch of 5 year olds hunt for Easter eggs.
Well hunt is a big word. Run and pick them up off the ground is more like it.
Isaac had never been on an Easter egg hunt before so I was a little worried that he would be totally confused, but he picked up on it quickly.
It was so much fun watching him pick up the eggs.
Olivia was quiet good at it too! I wished Glenn could have been there. It was so much fun to watch.

Olivia's class.
Easter Sunday was a great day. They both looked so great in their Easter outfits.
They even poised for pictures!
Glenn was in meetings so I didn't get a picture of all of us.
Olivia's favorite part was that her favorite cousin got a matching dress.
When Julie and I saw this fabric we both fell in love with it. So we bought enough to make both Clara and Olivia matching Easter dresses. I wish we could have spent Easter with them. I would have loved to have a picture of the girls together.

Isaac's Birthday!

I can't believe it has been two years since Isaac was born. He is such a cute and happy boy. He was so excited for his Birthday. He saw his presents sitting in my room and asked every HOUR if he could open his presents. So when the day came he was BEYOND ecstatic! Before Glenn got home Grandma Julie and Papa Rich let him open their present to him.
It was a big present and the only person more excited to open it was Olivia. And she helped him a lot!
Olivia and Isaac have been playing a lot lately with water. So what better to get than a water table.
They have played with it A LOT!!!
They love it!
Isaac's Favorite things right now are cars, trucks, helicopters, airplanes, but most of all tractors. So I went to work and made him a tractor cake.
Or at least a cake with a tractor on it. He thought it was AWESOME!

Cutest kid ever! Seriously!
Now for the presents! The first one was from Aunt Lindsey!

And he loved it!!!!
He loved opening the presents. He has gotten really good at it in the last 2 years :)

A train from Us.Opening Uncle Isaac and Aunt Maria's present.
Uncle Isaac picked out his present and because both their names are Isaac and they both like tractors it was a ...TRACTOR!!!!And he loves it! He loves it so much that he slept with it.
Seriously, he slept with it. I had to turn the sound off so that it wouldn't wake him up in the middle of the night.

I love this kid so much!
Happy Birthday my sweet Isaac!

Spring Has Come!!!!

I miss my little sister, Cherie. I don't think that I would miss her as much if she didn't live in Italy. I think knowing that she is 5,885 miles away makes me miss her more. I miss my family sometimes. They are only 580 miles away, but I know that I could always get in a car to go see them. I can't just hop on a plane to go see Cherie. So this week I have been thinking of her a lot. We have spent a lot of time outside. I am not exactly sure why this makes me think of her, but it does. She likes being outside. I know that this week she would have spent a lot of time with us outside if she had been here.

This week we planted our garden
Olivia and Isaac loved helping with the tilling.
Isaac loved playing in the dirt but I think he loved playing in the compost more....
YUCK!
For how much he complains (daily) about his hands being dirty he really liked feeling the dirt between his fingertips!

Yesterday Glenn and Papa Rich built a sand box. The kids spent ALL day outside after it was finished.
Isaac was forced to take a nap in the middle of the day, but other than that they spent about 8 hours outside. They were very tired and very dirty at the end of the day. After they came in and ate dinner, they took baths and went straight to bed.
Olivia did not have to come inside to take a nap. She just slept in the sand box.
I hope that the novelty of the sand box doesn't ware off anytime soon. As long as they have sunscreen on I would love for them to be entertained for hours everyday.
I didn't get a good picture of it but Glenn and Rich even made a lid for it so the local cats (and dogs) wouldn't use it as a bathroom. This way the sand box will stay nice and clean...well as clean as a sandbox can be :)
So what did I get accomplished while they were playing?
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!
I sat and drank water while reading. It was amazing!!!!
The best part was Glenn sat right next to me and did nothing with me!
All in all, it was an amazing day!

Olivia

I had to scroll down to see who this next post was going to be dedicated to. Kristy! Your the lucky winner today. Kristy is a friend from Lubbock. 4 years ago I never thought I would say out loud that I was going to miss Lubbock when I left. I do... a lot. I am not sure if I miss Lubbock, or just the people. But I miss Lubbock. Sometimes I wish I could take people with me when I leave a place. I would definitely take Kristy and her family. A big reason is because I want Her son Bryson to marry Olivia. They will marry someday... although I think he might have to fight a couple boys for her. What can I say. Olivia is already a heart breaker.
Today I made a summer dress for Olivia. I wasn't planning on it, but I was waiting for someone to come so I started cutting. She never came so I ended up finishing it. It turned out cute. I like it. It's a little "Little House on the Prairie" meets "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" but it's a cute spring-y little girl dress. I could never pull it off, but I am not as cute as Olivia.
So after I made it I wanted to take a picture. She got so excited and said "can we fix my hair and paint my nails so I look pretty?" So after getting her beautiful we had a photo shoot. And this is what came from it;
She is a diva. We all know it. We can say it out loud. She is a "model" and loves every minute of it. I can't say she isn't a model. She modeled more clothes than I can count. But we love her. Oh, Olivia. What are we going to do with you :)
